A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated over $28 million to the ASPCA and through Subaru Loves Pets has helped support the rescue, transport, adoption, and well-being of over 230,000 animals across the country.
Subaru and our retailers are committed to protecting and preserving the Earth, not just by our words, but also by our actions.
Since 2018, as part of the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Subaru and retailers across the country have partnered with TerraCycle® and have collected over 7 million pieces of hard-to-recycle trash from their communities. Items such as snack bag wrappers, coffee cups, or used cabin air filters from service areas have been diverted from landfills and given a second life by TerraCycle when it is converted into durable furniture and other usable items.
It's our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
Since 2015 Subaru, in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement Science, donated over 369,000 award-winning science books. In addition, through our partnerships with Staples and Adoptaclassroom.org we supported teachers and students with donations of $400,000 in gift cards and school supplies.
In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.
In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.
We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We're aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts & crafts kits and reached nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.

During Subaru Loves Learning® program (October), Bergey Subaru supported Adams County SPCA with a special month of pet adoption! Bergey Subaru graciously made a monetary donation for each dog adopted during the month. In addition, they also donated Subaru Bark Box toys and new pet owner kits for the adopters. We can't begin to express how grateful we are to Bergey Subaru and their continued support of Adams County SPC
On September 27th 2023,The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) teamed up with Bergey's Subaru of Hanover to deliver six boxes of blankets to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Hanover, PA as part of the Subaru Loves to Care® Program. The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center provides care to more than 140,000 people each year across Pennsylvania. Steven Wildasin from Bergey's Subaru of Hanover was proud to lead the blanket drop off-to the team at Hanover Hospital. Along with the blankets, the team also delivered messages of hope to provide words of encouragement for everyone. They believe that everyone deserves to lead a happy and healthy life with experiences. That is why they stay committed to helping those in their communities stay as healthy as possible. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the staff at Hanover Hospital hopes that this gesture will provide comfort to those who are facing the challenges of cancer.
Bergey's Subaru of Hanover believes all students deserve an equal and fair opportunity to a quality education. That is why we are proud to be partnering with Adopt A Classroom.org to make a difference in the lives of students at Hanover Middle School in Hanover, Pa. Through our $3000 donation, Hanover Middle School will now be able to provide 6 classrooms and up to 150 students funding for the supplies they need and want, when they need and want them. We look forward to many more years of partnering with Hanover middle school and helping to provide students and teachers the help they so richly deserve!
Bergey Subaru's team, formerly known as Lawrence Subaru in Hanover, PA, has been a long-time supporter of our mission here at Make-A-Wish® Greater PA and WV-York Regional office and we are very grateful! On May 2, 2023, I was presented with $16,345 as a result of The Subaru Share the Love® Event in late 2022. Our mission is :"Together, we create life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses." We are happy to say that our partnership as the Hometown Charity for Bergey's Subaru has resulted in many wishes being funded by this awesome team of caring individuals, led by Steve Wildasin. We witnessed for years this retailers huge hearts, as they opened up their showroom so our wish families and the general public could stop by and enjoy a celebration of wishes. Our wish children and their families loved the games, crafts, refreshments and even visits with Santa over the years and the Subaru team in Hanover, PA enjoyed hearing about the children's wishes and how much the experience meant to them. Wishes provide joy and hope and we are grateful to the Bergey's Subaru team for partnering to make wishes come true through the Share the Love campaign and their Hometown Charity donations.
